The British Institute Of Reconstructive Dentistry (BIORD) is a dental postgraduate teaching and learning organisation. It is dedicated to the advancement of knowledge, skills, and personal development within Reconstructive Dentistry. Opportunities will be provided for members with the necessary skills and experience to engage in professional consultation, mentorship, academic contributions, and research.

BIORD will enable members to advance their professional knowledge and skills in line with technical and clinical advances in reconstructive dentistry and will influence national and international developments in the field.

Aim

The aim of BIORD is to educate and support the dental team involved in all aspects of reconstructive dentistry including oral surgery, restorative and implant dentistry, throughout their career. The key objectives are to provide education and training, support, research and leadership to encourage ‘best practice’ in reconstructive dentistry. The Institute will act in providing recognition of courses for its membership, practical guidance, professional support, and provide expert advice to Government and regulatory bodies. In addition opportunities will be provided for members with the necessary skills and experience to engage in professional consultation, mentoring, academic contributions, and research.
